"I bet you want to ask, what exactly is this series about?....
Well it was never meant to be a series, and indeed it is so much more. I wanted to bring the world on an adventure, one that was both dreadfully close to home and yet another world away. Point Society will take you if you allow it...... Join Us?
The project embraces the story of humanity, our questions, beliefs, goals, fears, strides and shortcomings. People are drawn in by the stunning visuals and they become entranced with the complex and detailed world and it's characters. The Society looks at the normal things in life from a multitude of bizarre angles, from points of view that may be skewed by power or deteriorated by fear. How do they choose? (how do you?): Good versus evil, groups versus individuals, perceived choice versus true freedom, fate versus free will.
I love when any experience pulls me in and gives me a new world to care about. The first six episodes are set to introduce the many characters in this world. We meet many people along the way, but we come to know deeply the members of Adam’s Family and Kato’s Family (Families in Point Society are similar to a mob family). We learn their personalities, hopes, fears, what drives them and cages them. From these interpersonal relationships and personalities we are able to view multiple angles of any given situation. I wanted to give the viewer choices to feel different ways about any given situation. Good vs. evil for example seems very clear cut…. but indeed, it never is.
In the next season (twelve episodes) we look deeper into the past and the future of the characters and begin to understand more clearly the feelings and actions we might not have understood. We also take a closer look at the common enemy of both Point Society and Humanity, The Order (The New World Order). As we go deeper we begin to expose more about both groups and touch on the deeper questions of humanity.
I have in place the majority of a third season planned out as well. We meet so many intriguing characters along the way, and the stories are vast and intricate. I simply hope to be able to share this vast world and get my story out.
Even the writers enjoy when I open up a new episode for processing. They have told me they themselves are fans of the series and have hopes about the direction things will go and get excited when their questions get answered. We even have pools going about certain questions. It really is an extremely exciting series for those who like open questions and time to ponder what the answer is… and I wouldn’t want to spoil the fun….”
